Hey, I'm edjgeek
So you found your way here. I’m Eric, and most people online know me as edjgeek (or singledigit, depending on where you’re looking).
I’m a Principal Developer Advocate at AWS, and I’ve been in the serverless world for a while now. If it runs without a server to manage, I’m probably into it. Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge. That’s my happy place.
The day job
I work at AWS as a Principal Developer Advocate, where I get to build things, talk to developers, and obsess over cloud architecture. It’s a pretty good gig. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make serverless more approachable and how to build things that just work.
Beyond the code
When I’m not staring at a terminal, I’m probably hanging with my wife and five kids. Yes, five. It’s as chaotic and awesome as it sounds.
I’m also a music person. All genres, no rules. I live in Colorado, so mountains, trails, and good coffee shops are part of the routine. And I travel whenever I can, whether that’s conferences, family trips, or just going somewhere new.
What to expect here
This blog is going to be a mix. Mostly tech: serverless posts, things I’m building, opinions on tools and patterns. But I’ll throw in some life stuff too. Music, travel, whatever’s on my mind.
No schedule, no pressure. Just writing when I’ve got something worth sharing.
